Historical Society
The Warren Historical Society existed for several years beginning in 1967 and continuing into the 1990’s. During those years the society maintained donated artifacts and documents in the Academy, sponsored annual July 4th bell-ringings and opened the Brick School to visitors on weekends. When the Brick School celebrated its 200th birthday in 1984, a birthday party was held and attended by former students
In February 2006 a group of residents gathered at the Academy and decided to revive the historical society. Steps are underway to incorporate the organization and plans are being made to host events and activities related to Warren’s history.
Those interested in the society are invited to watch the announcements on this website for upcoming meetings and events.
The official Town Historian is Ellen Paul and she will be the agent for the new society.
