Thank you Warren

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

I’d like to extend my most heartfelt thanks to my Warren neighbors who made holiday cards for our troops!

Special thanks to:

The Angevine Family for setting up a table at their open house to make cards!
Aleshia Hall and all the creative girl scouts of Troop 416

The administration, teachers, 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Warren School who brought tears to my eyes

The members of Warren Congregational Church who helped spread the word!
Thanks to my mom and step-dad, Donna and Dick Williams for gifting the postage

And last but not least, special thanks to my Thanksgiving angels – I can’t believe you made so many cards

Your time, talent and crayons will undoubtedly brighten the holiday season for many troops. In part, because of YOU we were able to send out well over 200 cards! YOU shared a bit of yourself and made a difference!

Our soldiers don’t always have time or postage to mail back replies but they sometimes do. If you hear from one of them, I’d love to hear from you! Better yet, share a comment here and let your neighbors know, too!

If you did not get to send a card but wish to do so it’s never too late to give Thanks! (see below) My intent is not to instigate any political views…regardless of your position on the war, there are men and women performing a courageous duty that would love to hear from you, particularly at this time of year. The request below is my own, and does not necessarily represent the views of the Warren CT webmaster, the site, or of any of its members, it is merely an attempt on my part as an individual, to help make the holidays a little better and brighter for our brave soldiers. If you did not get to send a card but wish to so so you still can here: America Supports You.

Thanks again! YOU are the reason I’m proud to call Warren home.
