Hello Patricia,

My father is Victor Krasenics Jr. and my Grandfather was probably one of your uncles, Victor Krasenics Snr.

I am working on a family tree and would love information regarding the Krasenics family. Especially possibly copies of those photos which I would be willing to pay for. Also any information that you might have on the Krasenics family prior to their immigration to the US. I cannot seem to locate them on the Ellis Island website, but know that they went through there.

Sincerely, Kathy Krasenics 310.428.3825, Marina Del Rey, CA

My great-great-great grandfather, Daniel Comstock was born in Warren, Connecticut in 1763, the son of Abel Comstock and Judith Paine. Would the Comstock farm in the narrative on the Northeast Schoolhouse be related to him? And does he appear in the 1798 tax records referenced in the Whitney Collection?

Is the Comstock Farm still owned by a Mr C. Grey/Gray?
Are there still members of the Gale family living in Warren? I remember my mother mentioning people named Gale and also I have a picture of a young man with a notation under the picture of Clarence Whitney. Does that mean anything to anyone? I have been up to Warren once with my parents and then again about 10-12 years ago. My husband and I found the farm after stopping in at the Town Clerk's office for directions. I have my mother's report card for the years of 1916-1917, grade 8 and signed by a K. M. Keogh, teacher.

My mother, Helen Krasenics Clark moved from New York, borough of Manhattan, in 1911 with her 6 or 7 brothers and sisters to the town of Warren and settled on the Comstock Farm. I have some pictures showing the children on the farm along with some of the animals. She told me stories of the long walk to the one room school house and the difficulty of the teacher also getting there through the snow, sometimes being carried by one of the neighbors. Also, ice skating on a pond near their house.
