Present at the meeting were Jack Travers, Marion Smith and Linda Kennedy
The minutes of the June 15th meeting were read and approved.
There were two estimates for the new roof for the library. Gary Fletcher estimated $20,700 for repair, removal and shingles to last 50 years. Brian Wilson’s estimate for the same work was $23,425. The consideration as to selection will be based on the need to have the work finished before school starts.
The Town Hall renovation progress has the architect evaluating needs and interviewing emloyees.
The proposed new school property (Doyle property contiguous to Wamogo) has been tested and environmentally has been found clean. The closing is set for August 15th.
The town has received funding from the STEAP Grant. It is earmarked for buildings, but cannot be used for the Town Hall renovation. It allows for economic, social services, recreation.emergency shelter, historic preservation and open space land.
Work is being done to refinance bonds for the garbage plant. Garbage tonnage has increased considerably.
